Car is a 1965
Fastback Mustang built November 18th, 1964. The car is a 1965 A
code fastback, the car has a Balanced 1966 A code 289 bored .30
over that is converted to a full roller motor now. I have done the
Shelby 66 look to the car. The side scoops are functional as
they should be. The hood is a fiberglass hood with a steel
frame; Car has the Correct Shelby Quarter Plexiglas windows.
When I bought the car I had it sanded down to bare metal and
replaced the tail section and one of the quarter panels since it
looked like had three different repairs there over the last 40
years. It currently has a base-coat clear coat paint job in
Wimbledon white finish I haven’t put the Shelby stripes over the
top of the car since I wasn’t sure if I had wanted them but if
you do you can get them painted on and that would be the correct
way they were done originally.
The car now has a 5spd transmission, runs great, supper fast the
only thing I haven’t changed is the rear end on the car. The car
now stops via Stainless Steel Force 10 Disc brakes up front and
new Drum brakes out back.
Below is the break down on the car as far as the build sheet,
and what I have done to the car.
